Replacing HydroFloss Tips

Changing Tips

This is relatively easy and straightforward to do.  There is a video at the bottom of the page that will show you how to do this.

The video is for the regular jet tips.

There are also pocket pal jet tips as well as sulcus jet tips, as well as cannula tips.

Basically, with the regular jet tips, you just pull the tip straight off.   Then you place the next tip gently until you hear a light 'snap'.   It's really that easy,  watch the video to see how easy it is.

Tips on Tips

A regular jet tip should be replaced once every 90 days.  I didn't use to believe this was important but I discovered that it actually is.

The tips wear down from contacting the teeth.  This happens even though we aren't aware of it.  So the tip has to give a little bit.

When the tip starts to wear down, even a little, you may notice a change in the flow rate of your hydro floss.  The dynamics of the water coming out have changed.

I found that by replacing a tip one day, I was getting a lot more flow.  This allowed me to complete my daily routine even faster than normal.

Sulcus, Pocket Pal and Cannula Tips

Each of these comes with special directions for use.   Read those directions carefully because they do work differently than the regular jet tips.

Regular jet tips are always used first, before using the 'special tips' mentioned above.   This is very important.

I hope these tips on tips were helpful.

Sincerely,
