There is no need to use anything at all in your HydroFloss, besides regular tap water.
But some people really like the idea of having something.

Tap water is suggested. This is because there are minerals in the tap water. The magnetic technology of the Hydro Floss acts on those minerals.
This is why distilled water is NOT suggested.
