Expensive Dental Treatments And The HydroFloss

Expensive Dental Treatments And The HydroFloss

The cost of health care seems to be out of control.  Dental care is no exception.  Expensive treatments that insurance, if you have any dental insurance, hardly covers.   Maybe they pay 20% or so.   We seem to get stuck with the rest.

What Can We Do?

If the problem you are facing is a treatment for your gums, I can share with you the story of what I did to handle that problem.

I was told I needed a Scaling and Root Planing Treatment a.k.a  SRP or 'deep cleaning'.    It's rather expensive.

They said my gums were unhealthy and they needed to scrap below the gumline to remove built up plaque and tartar.

I was told this treatment was the ONLY thing that could help me.

Fortunately,  I was skeptical enough to go and see if I could solve this problem without getting the prescribed treatment that was the 'only thing' that could help me.

I learned a lot along the way and wrote a book on this topic called  What You Should Know About Gum Disease - The Layman's Guide To Fighting Gum Disease

On my journey, I tried many things.   I tried different mouthwashes, oil pulling, essential oils, toothpastes, extra flossing and more.

Nothing worked.  Every time I went back to that dental office, I was told that I better not delay the treatment any longer - or something along those lines.

I was evened threatened that I must sign a waiver that it is not their fault if I lose my teeth.

Finally, I was ready to quit.   Thank goodness that I did not.

I decided to try one more thing and it worked!

The dentist even told me that I no longer needed the treatment that was previously said to be the 'only thing' that could help me.

What did I do?    I used this:

https://toothygrins.net/products/hydro-floss-oral-irrigator-new-generation

I was so delighted with the results that I began to sell them to others because I knew I could probably help other people in the same situation.

3 out of every 4 people have gum disease according to most dental professionals.

Most just don't know it until these 'special treatments' are offered to them.

The benefit to buying from the above link is that I can help you learn how to get the results I got from this machine.    Anyone who purchases from the above link can have a phone call with me.

I give the insider gouge that may help the most.

The best part, you verify the results at your own dentist's office.   I'll tell you how to do that as well.

Does it work for everyone?   NO.  But it seems to have worked for the majority of people I talked to.

For $98 dollars, I avoided a $1500 + treatment, plus the pain of recovery once the numbness wore off.

Was it worth it?  you bet it was.   I'm glad I figured out this problem.    I want others to benefit too and that is why I sell these machines.

Scaling And Root Planing Treatment - Can It Be Avoided?

Scaling And Root Planing Treatment - Can It Be Avoided?

Of course, you always want to work with your dental professional.   If you are not happy with your current one, you can always get another.

If you are having problems with your gums, it might be in your best interest to see a periodontist anyway.  Periodontists are gum specialists.

I was able to avoid the dreaded Scaling and Root Planing Treatment that was recommended by my dentist way back in 2005 and I'm going to tell you how I did it.

I cannot guarantee that you will get the same results.  I can only tell you what happened for me and others that I have spoken to over the years.

You Need A Scaling And Root Planing Treatment

This is what my dentist and hygienist told me:  "You need a scaling and root planing treatment.  Nothing else will help you.  You need to do this today so that insurance will pay for it".

I don't know if that sounds like your situation, but this is what happened to me.

Marketing avoidance 101:  Never on the same day!   You have the right to think things over.  There are also ethical issues on the doctor's side if they insist on something like that the same day that they tell you.

What Is The Problem, Why Do I Need A Scaling and Root Planing?

Typically, this is what your dentist will recommend when you have periodontal pocket depths in excess of 3mm.

Why?  Generally speaking, most dentists would say your gums are healthy when your pockets are at 3mm or less.   The same is true in reverse.  Most dentists, generally speaking, will say that your gums are unhealthy when above 3mm in periodontal pocket depths.

So, from this we can derive a simple concept:  We want to get our pockets to 3mm or less and keep them there.

How?  Again, I can tell you about my own experience.

This is what I used:

https://toothygrins.net/products/hydro-floss-oral-irrigator-new-generation

You can also find it here on this site:   HydroFloss

After I used this machine for a few months, my dentist told me.  "Whatever you are doing, keep it up.  You don't need that treatment any longer."

That's my story.

PS:   I do offer free coaching on how to use this machine for people who purchase their HydroFloss at ToothyGrins.net or ToothyGrinsStore.com at the above links.    If you already have this machine and want the coaching,  the cost is $100 for 30 minutes of my time over the phone.    (Might as well buy one to have a spare and get the free coaching).   I'll let you know the essential details to giving yourself the best chance to be successful at using this machine.

How I Saved Myself From A Deep Cleaning Treatment

I Was Able To Avoid A Deep Cleaning Treatment A.K.A  SRP or Scaling and Root Planing Treatment

I cannot guarantee that this will work for everyone, but it worked for me and based on feedback from customers over the last 10 years it has worked for many, if not most, of them as well!

Around 2005 or so, my dentist and hygienist scared me with the announcement that I needed a SRP or  deep cleaning treatment.

They said I had gum disease.  I was told that if I didn't submit to their treatment that I would need to sign a waiver that it was not their fault if I lost my teeth.

I was told that I needed to do it that very day so that insurance would pay for it.

I felt a lot of pressure, but pulled up just enough common sense to put it off while I tried to figure out what this problem was and how I might deal with it.

Periodontal pockets, generally speaking should measure at 3 or below.   If they do, most dentists will say your gums are healthy.

Mine measured at  3, 4, 5 and even one 6 mm pocket.   The gums were inflamed.  But the pocket depths are key.

I realized I needed to get my pockets down to 3 or less so that the dentist would relent on this treatment plan.

I tried so many things.  I tried different toothpastes, mouthwashes, oil pulling, essential oils, extra flossing and more.  Every time I went back they said I still needed this treatment.

Then I came across something that actually worked.

It's called the HydroFloss and you can read about it here:

https://toothygrins.net/products/hydro-floss-oral-irrigator-new-generation

After using this device for a few months, I went back hoping that it would work.

Sure enough, the dentist looked at my mouth with a look of disbelief, as did the hygienist.
After a while the dentist stopped looking in my mouth and said, "Whatever you are doing, keep it up.  You don't need that treatment any more".

I was delighted.

I started talking about and teaching people about the HydroFloss and what it could do.

Turns out that the story I share above.  The part about needing these deep cleaning or SRP treatments is happening all over the country, probably every day.

The above is my story.   The HydroFloss worked for me.   Always work with your dentist.   If you can get the kind of results I got, verified by your dentist, wouldn't it be great!

You Don't Necessarily Have To Lose Your Teeth, Discover The HydroFloss

Attitudes About Losing Teeth

Losing teeth is not always inevitable.  True, an accident may not be avoidable.  However, losing teeth due to gum disease may be avoidable for most people.   It is really a question of awareness.

Most people are simply unaware that the number one cause of tooth loss is gum disease.  Yet, gum disease, for many, is preventable. A little knowledge can go a long way.

Implants, dentures and other man-made solutions are all imperfect.  Nothing is going to be as good as your original, natural, teeth.  Mother nature knows best.

So, it makes sense to learn what you can about gum disease and do your best to prevent or mitigate it.
Every tooth you save reduces expenses and problems.  Man made replacements may need maintenance or replacement at some point.  This is also an additional expense.

Even if you have lost a tooth or two, it makes sense that you would want to keep as many of the rest as you possibly can.

If You Have Been Told You Need A Tooth Extracted

I can not overstate this: Go get a second opinion - period or "full stop" as the British would say.

A second and even third opinion can save you a lot of time, money and hassle.   Many dental professionals today are quick to pull a tooth and install an implant or other 'solution'.   Resist the temptation go along with that until you get a second and possibly third opinion.

You might be surprised to learn that another, unrelated dental professional may have a different idea.  It may even be possible to save your tooth.  Many periodontists have the skills needed to save teeth that other dentists would pull.

It might be a little work to find a doctor who wants to save your tooth or teeth.   That's why you need to look around a bit.  It is easier and economically beneficial (to the doctor) to pull and do an implant. But, as I mentioned before, periodontists know how to save teeth without extracting.   Look around. You might find someone who will help you.

Save your teeth if at all possible.  As I mentioned before, you can avoid a lot of present and future problems and expense by keeping your own natural teeth.   In that light, it is worth the effort.

Prevent Further Problems

Prevention is your best friend.  Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss and many or even most dental professionals tell us that 75% of people have some gum disease right now.   Some think the number is actually higher.

You need an objective way to tell you what is going on.  Fortunately, there is an objective measurement.   It is called:  Periodontal Pocket Depths.

Your dentist or hygienist should be taking and recording these numbers at every visit.  They simply probe around every tooth to determine the depth that a periodontal probe can be inserted without resistance between a tooth and the gum surrounding it.

Generally speaking, 3mm or less is considered healthy by most dental professionals.  This is as close as you will get to an objective way to know if you have gum disease or not.

Know your numbers and make sure they check them on every visit.   One of the best tools that you can use at home to help the health of your gums is the hydro floss irrigator.

I used it and it reduced my pocket depths to normal levels.  My dentist was quite surprised at my improvement.  I no longer needed the SRP or 'deep cleaning' treatment that she was previously telling me that I needed.  Those are expensive and potentially painful as well.  I'm glad I missed out on it.

I'm not alone, others have experienced this too.  The HydroFloss is a powerful tool, indeed.    No guarantees that it will work for everyone who tries it.  But it seems to me that it works for the majority of people I hear from.

You do need to know how to use it properly to maximize your chance for obtaining results.  This is something I discuss with customers who buy their HydroFloss here at ToothyGrinsStore.com

Of course, you always want to be under the care of your dental professional.  But now you know how you can have them verify your results  - via those periodontal pocket depth measurements.

Why You Should Have A HydroFloss Oral Irrigator

Believe it or not, an oral irrigator is an important, in my opinion, for maintaining or improving dental health.

It is something you can do at home for yourself on a daily basis.   Improvement can be measured by your dentist or hygienist in the form of periodontal pocket depth readings.   This makes things objective.

But Why Do I Need An Oral Irrigator?

Here is something to think about.  I've heard a lot of people tell me that even after brushing and regular string flossing, they still find food particles coming out of their mouth upon using the HydroFloss.

In other words, it is cleaning and reaching places that brushing and regular string flossing did not reach.

It also helps to reduce plaque and tartar build up between your regular dental cleanings.  This has been clinically demonstrated.   Less plaque and tartar should translate to less cavities, gingivitis and gum disease and perhaps even less bad breath.

Inside (or underneath) plaque and tartar is where the bacteria that cause all of these problems live. Reducing plaque and tartar buildup means less places for these bacteria to live in your mouth.

Is The HydroFloss Better Than Other Irrigators?

It sure seems to be.  This appears to be validated by two studies in the professional journal for Periodontists  (gum health and disease experts).

The two studies, published in The Journal of Clinical Periodontology demonstrated most thoroughly that the HydroFloss special technology actually reduced the plaque and tartar buildup to a FAR greater extent than irrigators without this magnetic aspect.

Again, less plaque and tartar buildup should lead to less dental health problems and less money spent on treating dental health problems via prevention, less pain, etc.

HydroFloss Patented Magnetic Technology

The HydroFloss is a powerful tool for your dental health.  My personal experience is that it helped me to shrink periodontal pockets to the point where my gums were considered healthy again.

This result allowed me to avoid a Scaling and Root Planing as verified by my dentist.  She said, "Whatever you are doing, keep it up and you don't need that treatment any longer".

Of course, you always want to be under the care of a dentist when facing gum disease, gingivitis, periodontal disease or anything else you want to call it.   These are essentially the same problem being described at different stages.

If you can keep your gums healthy or get them there, you'll be better off.

Lost teeth replacements for adults can be pretty costly.

Check out the HydroFloss.

If you have questions, feel free to give me a call.  I can tell you how to get the most out of them.  This offer is only for customers who purchase their hydrofloss through this site:  ToothyGrinsStore.com

I can be reached at 1-888-586-6849.

Is The HydroFloss Effective?

When asking if the hydrofloss is effective, you...

There are a couple of possibilities here.  If you are scientifically minded you are wondering about scientific, peer reviewed and published results.  You are wondering if the results are statistically significant.

If you are a lay person, you are just wondering if the HydroFloss will help you gums.

In the first case, the answer is yes, the hydrofloss has been shown to be approximately 50% more effective than irrigators that do not use the magnetic technology it uses.   There were actually two studies published in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.

One was published in May of 1993 and the other in April of 1998 (in that journal) both showed similar results that were deemed to be statistically significant.

Of course, if you are reading this, there is a good chance that you could care less about science. I just wanted to put that out there for the occasional inquiring mind that may come around.  I wanted to give them specific journal months and years to check out on their own.

The real question is

Can the HydroFloss help you with your gums?  Can it help you avoid a deep cleaning or Scaling and Root Planing Treatment (SRP)?   Can it help to reduce periodontal pockets?

These are things that you will want to monitor via your dentist and hygienist.  You should be under the care of a dentist if you have gum health problems.

However, don't worry, some estimates are that about 75% of people have some gum disease right now.   Some of the lower estimates are around 50%.

I remember reading on the Mayo Clinic's website that they believed that after the age of 65 a whopping 95% of people have some gum disease!

My Answer:

I can only tell you about my experience and I can also tell you that I am not the only person who has had an experience like mine.  There have been others who have spoken with.

My dentist told me I had 'moderate' gum disease and that I needed a deep cleaning or SRP treatment.  I think she even told me that nothing else would help me.  She was insistent that I get that treatment.  But I held off.   I was determined to find an alternative answer.

It took multiple tries.  I experimented with essential oils, various mouthwashes and even oil pulling.  But nothing worked.   Until...

I tried the HydroFloss.  When I used that for a few months I went back to my dentist.  She looked very surprised and so did the hygienist.   I was told by the dentist, "Whatever you are doing, keep it up".  She told me I didn't need the deep cleaning treatment any longer.

That IS my story.   I've talked to many others over the years who have had similar stories.

Of course, as I said before, you MUST be under the care of a dentist or periodontist to monitor you progress or lack thereof.   Gum disease is serious and can lead to lost teeth.  In fact, it is the number one cause of lost teeth.

But if you can shrink your periodontal pockets and make your gums healthy again - as verified by your own dentist, perhaps it is worth a try?

There are no guarantees because every human body is different.  But the HydroFloss has worked for myself and others.

Periodontal Pocketing And The HydroFloss

Who Is This For?

1. A person who has deeper than 3mm periodontal pocketing (and knows it - most people don't)

2. A dental professional that is interested in what might be available to help patients get and keep their gums healthy and to shrink deeper than 3mm pockets.

Does it work for everyone, 100% of the time?  - No That would be impossible. Nothing  works 100% of the time for 100% of the people.

Does it work for a lot of people?   Yes, based on my personal experience and the shared experiences of the many people I have spoken to over the years.

Is there clinical evidence?   Yes, peer reviewed too!   Journal of Clinical Periodontology May of 1993 and April of 1998.

*always be under the care of a dentist or doctor when dealing with any health or dental health issues.

Periodontal Pockets

Roughly speaking, this is a measurement of how far a periodontal probe can fit between a tooth and the gum tissue surrounding it before meeting resistance.

Generally speaking, this number should be 3mm or less which most dental professionals would say is a healthy reading.

Conversely,  anything above 3mm, generally speaking, would be considered unhealthy by most dental professionals.

Therefore, you goal is to get your pocketing down to 3mm or less.

When you do that, the gum disease process would be effectively controlled.  This means the bacterial population wouldn't be at levels high enough to continue damaging tissue.

To complicated?   No problem,  the take away is:  Get and keep your periodontal pockets to 3mm or less as measured by your dentist or hygienist.

The nice thing about these numbers is that they are more or less objective.  You simply ask your dentists what your pocket depths are and you can monitor your situation and know when you have improved or worsened.

Healthy tissue does not feel pain when they are taking these measurements.   If you have the sensation of pins being stuck into your gums, that is just one more indicator that you have diseased tissue.

The HydroFloss

If you are a dental professional, I suggest that you get several of these and try them out on your patients,  let them use them and then measure the results for yourself.

If you are a person who has gum disease issues and want to shrink those pockets.   Try the HydroFloss - if you can get those pockets shrunk, as measured by your dentist or hygienist, then you will be very happy.

Getting your pocketing down to normal levels can help you save or keep your teeth.    Gum disease afflicts somewhere between 50 and 80% of the population (depending on who you listen to)

Worse, gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss.

If your gums are healthy, you can also avoid expensive surgeries and deep cleanings.

You can read more about the HydroFloss here.

If you would like to get a copy of my book, What You Should Know About Gum Disease, along with your hydrofloss, click here.

*always be under the care of a doctor or dentist when dealing with any health or dental health related issues.

Hydro Floss 2016 Model - Available Now

There are no planned changes to the Hydro Floss oral irrigator for 2016.    That means that we have the latest model now and it will be the same in 2016.

You can get the latest HydroFloss Mode here.

Even if it says 2015 on that page, you now know that you there will be no changes, so you are getting the latest model.

If you are familiar with the these wonderful devices then you probably understand the significant impact they can have on your home dental care.

If you are looking for the latest model that will be the same in 2016, just use the link above.  I've had customers who buy them as gifts for their family members.

My Experience

I became interested in the Hydro Floss when I had some mild to moderate gum disease that the dentist told me about.  She and the hygienist were increasingly insistent that I get a 'deep cleaning' or scaling and root planing treatment performed.

These treatments are fairly expensive.  They average around $1500 or so.  In addition, there appears to be some evidence that this type of treatment needs to be repeated in about 1 to 3 years.  Some suggest that the treatment may have a negative impact on the gums in regards to recession.

I was interested in avoiding this treatment, however, I still had to address the problem.

Every time I went in to get my teeth cleaned, they would push me towards that treatment.

In between visits, I tried everything I could think of to reduce the pockets and make my gums healthy again.  I tried essential oils.  I tried oil pulling.  I tried many different mouthwashes.

On each subsequent visit, the dentist and hygienist would continue to push me towards the 'deep cleaning'.

I continued to resist.

Then I found the HydroFloss.  After using it for several months I went back and both the dentist and hygienist were shocked.

The dentist stared in my mouth for an unusual amount of time and said to me: " Whatever you are doing, keep it up.  You don't need that treatment."

I was relieved and excited that it worked!

As an interesting side note, my dentist never asked me what I was doing.   You would think that she would want to know and tell her other patients.  However that never happened.

At the time, I didn't think about that aspect.  But later, it started to bother me.   I went on to write a book about gum disease. The title is  "What You Should Know About Gum Disease".    I also wrote a shorter guide called:  How To Stop Gum Disease in 4 Easy steps.

Will The HydroFloss Help You?

It could help you.  There are no guarantees of course.  Even doctors know there is hardly anything that works 100% of the time for 100% of the people.

But, I can tell you that I'm not alone in achieving the results described above.  I've talked to a lot of customers and many of them have had great results in making their gums healthy again and then in keeping them that way.

However,  there are some things you can do to make your chances of success higher.  There is definitely a 'secret' involved in getting that best results.

When customers purchase their hydrofloss at ToothyGrinsStore, they are entitled to a personal conversation with me.  I'll explain how to get the best results and also how to measure your progress in a real objective way that takes the guess work  out of it.

This conversation is reserved for our customers.  So, if you purchase from Toothy Grins, I'll be happy to speak with you about it.   The conversation can be relatively short.   However, when customers have questions, I've been known to spend well over an hour with them.

This helps them develop a background understanding that in turn allows them to achieve greater benefits from this machine than they might otherwise have been able to obtain.

You see, I'm not just here to sell a hydrofloss.  I'm also here to educate.  I want people to get results and that is why I'm willing to spend my personal time to talk to my customers.

Because my time is limited, I only offer this benefit to my customers when they purchase a HydroFloss from ToothyGrinsStore.com

For those folks who do so, I can be reached at 888-586-6849.   Of course, this is optional for customers.  It's certainly not required.  But I think it is very important to have some understandings to help get the most out of this machine.

So, we have the latest model and that will normally be the case.

Where Can I Buy A HydroFloss?

Buying A HydroFloss

Of course, my top recommendation is going to be to buy the HydroFloss from this site:

Only a limited number of people are authorized to sell the HydroFloss online.
ToothyGrins is one of those authorized.  That means you can feel confident because your warranty (if ever needed) will be honored.

In addition, you will see at the above page that you will get special bonuses from this site that you will not get from any other source.

So, I believe and I hope you do too, that Toothy Grins is the best place to buy your HydroFloss.

Other Places To Buy A HydroFloss

1. Sometimes, you can find a local dentist who sells them.

2. you can also find them on Amazon.

So, you really do have multiple options for purchasing a HydroFloss.

If you are interesting in reading reviews about the HydroFloss, check them here.

An Important Tool

I do think that this is an important tool for your home dental health care.   Of course, you will always go to get your regular checkups and cleaning from your dentist.

However, maybe the hydrofloss will help you to have better dental checkups do to its superior ability to reduce plaque and tartar buildup between your regular office visits.

This has been documented in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.  May 1993 and April 1998.

Scaling and Root Planing  or Deep Cleaning

I was able to avoid a this treatment, as verified by my dentist.   She was originally recommending this treatment to me for about a year.  I was trying different things out to try and solve the problem.

Nothing worked - UNTIL I tried the HydroFloss.   It worked and she told me that I no longer needed this expensive and potentially painful treatment.

So, the HydroFloss saved me from pain and expense.   It's paid for itself many times over.   Lot's of people have 'discovered' this 'secret'  to home dental health care between your regular office visits!

My Mouth Feels So Much Cleaner

This customer wrote: "My mouth feels so much cleaner".  She goes on to mention how she feels empowered in her own home dental care.    That's great!

Of course, the hydrofloss is NOT a substitute for regular dental care - far from it.   You should still get your regular dental checkups and cleanings.   But hopefully, you will be able to avoid more expensive dental treatments that can be aggravated from not doing adequate home care.

Besides, who doesn't want a cleaner feeling mouth.   This is not the only customer to mention such benefits.  There are many stories of happy customers.

To get the most out of this awesome machine, I suggest calling me.  I have great information - but this information is only for customers who purchase their hydrofloss via ToothyGrinsStore.com
If you have one that you purchased from ToothyGrins  or would like to order one now,  you can check out online at the above link or call 1-888-586-6849.

Sincerely,

David

Does HSA Cover The HydroFloss?

Does Your HSA Plan?

It may not or it may.  That depends on your individual HSA.  The only way for you to know for sure is to contact your plan administrator and ask.

In either case, you know you need a HydroFloss.  It's possibly the most powerful and beneficial tool for your home dental health.  Even better, it can be used by the entire family.

Therefore, if you know you need a HydroFloss, why put it off?   Regardless of whether your plan will reimburse you for it or not is irrelevant.  You need one.   So go ahead and get one.

Using the hydrofloss properly is essential so be sure to ask for tips and pointers after your purchase.  Next:
