HydroFloss - Can I Purchase The Reservoir Separately?

Can I purchase a Hydro Floss reservoir separately?

Yes, you can purchase the hydrofloss reservoir on this site:

If you are on a phone or a tablet, you may also use this address:

Sometimes, especially if dropped on a marble bathroom floor, they can break - even shatter.   This is important to keep in mind when filling the reservoir with water.

Pro Tip:  Always use two full reservoirs per use.

At the above links you can also find the o-ring that you see in the picture as well as that white plastic insert piece that is also displayed in the picture.

These parts will fit any genuine HydroFloss oral irrigator ever produced at the time of this writing.

The HydroFloss is one of the most powerful tools there is, in my opinion to promote healthy gums and teeth.

It has been studied in two different peer reviewed journals and it was found in both cases to be significantly better at reducing plaque and tartar build up than an irrigator that does not have the hydromagnetic technology of the hydrofloss.

Why is this important?   The reason it works may be that when plaque and tartar are not building up so heavily, it may be possible for your body to employ its natural defenses to keep your gums and teeth healthy.

Perhaps when there is too much plaque and tartar it becomes a greater burden and the bacteria are then able to accumulate to large enough quantities to cause damage.

You can read more about the HydroFloss overall at these two addresses.

Clear Plastic Ring On Bottom Of HydroFloss Is Missing?

The only two replaceable pieces on the bottom of the HydroFloss reservoir are the white plastic insert and the black o-ring.

If you are seeing that a clear plastic ring is missing, it's actually broken off and not missing.  It is one solid piece with the rest of the reservoir.   (you can see a picture here.)

There is only one hydrofloss model at the time of this writing.  You can find the model number stamped on the bottom of the HydroFloss.  It is:   7618.034

Help! My Hydro Floss Reservoir Shattered

Question:  My Hydro Floss Reservoir shattered, what can I do?

Answer:  No problem, so long as the oral irrigator you are referring to his a Hydro Floss.

The nice thing about it, is that the Hydro Floss hasn't changed in 25 years.  So, no matter how old your Hydro Floss is  (as of June 28th 2013)  This reservoir will fit it.

You can also order by phone at  1-888-586-6849.

HydroFloss Cannister

hydro floss canister
I'm making this post because I noticed that someone referred to the Hydro Floss Reservoir as the HydroFloss Cannister the other day.

A cannister general refers to a metal container.  So, it is not quite correct to call it cannister.  But it is easy to understand how that misunderstanding could occur.

Actually, I think this person actually used the word 'canister' which is not a container at all but has something to do with ammunition.  So, I thought I would point out all of this in one post.

You can get the HydroFloss Cannister (reservoir)  Here

HydroFloss Reservoir Plastic Insert - Be Careful When Washing The Reservoir

I just had a customer who needed a new plastic insert for her reservoir.

It appears she was cleaning the reservoir in her sink and did not realize that she knocked the plastic insert out of her reservoir.   She mentioned that it was then mashed up in the garbage disposal.

Be careful when cleaning your Hydro Floss Reservoir.

Hydro Floss Reservoir

Why Just The Hydro Floss Reservoir?

Occasionally,  someone will drop or otherwise damage their hydro floss reservoir.   Since this is the part that holds the water it is, of course,  important.

Therefore, we provide this part.   You may wonder: Is it better to buy a new machine or just replace the reservoir?  Read on for my take on that question.

When To Get A Reservoir Rather Than A Whole New Machine

Many people would prefer to purchase the reservoir rather than replace their perfectly good Hydro Floss and that is understandable.   However,  if the HydroFloss is over 5 years old, I would probably consider getting a whole new machine.

I would say that between 3 and 5 years it is questionable and could go either way.   Under three years and I probably would replace just the reservoir.

Will This Reservoir Fit My HydroFloss?

It really does not matter when you obtained your hydrofloss.  This reservoir will definitely fit it, provided that you have a genuine Hydro Floss.

It does not matter if you have had your machine for 5 years or 20, the replacement reservoir will fit.  There have not been any changes that would necessitate a different sized or shaped reservoir.

Does The Reservoir Come With The White Piece?

Yes it does.   You can also buy that piece separately.  I call it a 'plastic insert'.  Other people refer to it as a valve.   It is a white disk with 3 'feet' on it.

Without this piece the water would just flow right out and all over the place.   Therefore it is an essential part for your reservoir and Hydro Floss.

A plastic insert is included with every reservoir that we ship.

Is The Black O-Ring Included?

hydrofloss o-ringYes, the black o-ring comes with every reservoir we ship out.   It is also a crucial part.

We sell them separately as well.  But one does come with each reservoir automatically.

Repair Kit

We do have a repair kit that includes the reservoir (with an o-ring, and plastic insert).  In addition, with this kit, you will also receive 2 extra plastic inserts and 2 extra o-rings.
