I know that the Hydro Floss is a tool that can really benefit the majority of people out there in the world.    Most families and individuals could probably benefit from having one. 

WHY?

Well, for example, here is a story about following a hygienist's recommendation

Periodontitis is a real threat to your dental health.   Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss AND many people have it.  Many dental professionals say that 75% or 3 out of every 4 people have some now.  


So What Do You Do About This?  

One of the key measurements that your dentist or hygienist will use to check your periodontal health is what is called - Periodontal Pocket Depths. 

This numbers are important to you.  Generally speaking, any pocket depth above 3mm is considered problematic.    Again, generally speaking,  pocket depths of 3mm and below are considered healthy.

So shrinking these pockets becomes important to you (if any or some are above 3mm).  


Can the Hydro Floss Help YOU?  

Maybe,  the best way to find out is to know your 'before' numbers.

The HydroFloss Saved His Teeth

This review was posted to our site on June 21st 2011,  newer reviews can be found here.

This customer is actually not alone, if you can believe it.  When used properly, the hydro floss can really help your dental health improve.

Will it work for everyone?  Probably not.  But it HAS worked for a lot of people.   You can have your dentist check your periodontal pocket depths before use and then one month after.   If things are getting better, maybe it is working for you too!

It saved me from a 'deep cleaning' or SRP (Scaling and Root Planing Treatment).  In the US they are quite expensive.  

But the biggest benefit is that I have been able to keep my gums healthy since.   And I am very happy about this.  How many 'deep cleanings' or perhaps even 'lost teeth'  have a I saved myself from?   (Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss - bar none).

So, I would never say there was one thing that worked for 100% of the people 100% of the time, but it worked for me and has for others too, as you can see.

I often think of the Hydro Floss as the one of the best kept out-the-open secrets there are.  Although, I strongly suspect there are many other such out-in-the-open secrets that touch on a great many subjects and areas of understanding.






The Hydro Floss has allowed many people to improve their periodontal health by shrinking their periodontal pockets.  Nothing under the sun works one hundred percent of the time for 100% of the people.

So, what you do, to find out if it will work for you is you go to your dentist and find out what your current periodontal pocket readings are.   Then, use the hydrofloss daily according to best practices for at least one month.  Finally, go back to your dentist and see if the periodontal pockets have become smaller!    If they have, then it probably worked for you.

Why are these pockets important?

Generally speaking, most dental practitioners will consider your gums healthy when your periodontal pockets are 3mm or smaller.   When they are larger than that, generally speaking again, they will consider your gums to be unhealthy.   In other words probable periodontal problems / gum disease. (dentists can confirm through his / her diagnosis.

If you don't have a problem with your pocket depths, then none of this will concern you.   But, if you already know you have a problem, then you probably also know that gum disease is the number one reason that people lose their teeth. 

Since 3 out of every 4 people currently have some gum disease, according to dental professionals and statistics, I say that most people and families could benefit from owning a hydrofloss.

There is one major secret to getting the most out of your Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator. 
 It does not matter if you are using: 

Regular Jet Tips

Pocket Pal Jet Tips

Cannula Tips 

Sulcus Tips. 


What really matters is that you are using 2 full reservoirs twice per day.  That would be a total of four reservoirs.

Does That Sound Hard?

It's NOT hard.  If you turn the Hydro Floss to the highest (and safe) setting of number 9, you can drain a full reservoir in about 2 minutes and 10 seconds.  

If you use two full reservoirs in the morning it is still under 5 minutes.   Two more in the evening is well under another 5 minutes.

Therefore, you can do all four in about 8 1/2 minutes or so.

That will give you the greatest benefit.  What matters is the quantity of the magnetically affected water.   And it has been discovered that four reservoirs (2 twice per day) yields optimal results. 

Can you do more than that?  Yes, you certainly can.

Validation That the Hydro Floss Is Working For You

Your dental hygienist or dentist will be able to help you discover if the Hydro Floss is working for you personally or not.

This objective measurement is your periodontal pocket depths.  Simply compare your old readings to the new ones after using the Hydro Floss in the above described manner for at least one month.

If your pocket depths have shrunk, it is working for you. 

Nothing can work 100% of the time for 100% of the people.  But, now you have a way to know if it is really working for you or not.

Shower Hydro Floss

I just want to inform you that there is no such thing as a shower Hydro Floss  - someone misused the Hydro Floss name a few years back but has since stopped.

Let me tell you why it is not a good idea to have a faucet or shower head attached oral irrigator. 

There is no way to properly regulate the pressure and deliver pulsating irrigation.

A steady stream is believed to be harmful.   Any pressure over 60 PSI is also thought to be harmful.

Therefore, you need a unit with a pump that does not go above 60 PSI and delivers a pulsatile stream. 

Because of this, there will not be a shower or faucet attached model.   If you believe this information is accurate, then you wouldn't want to consider a faucet or shower attached model either.

The Hydro Floss is a great tool for use at home to help reduce the amount of plaque and tartar build up that occurs between your regular dental cleanings and checkups.

This is important because with less plaque and tartar - there are less opportunities for problems to occur such as gum disease, cavities and bad breath.  

Of course, I am not saying they won't occur.   I am just saying your chances are greater to avoid them.

In addition, the Hydro Floss appears to have helped me to reduce my periodontal pockets.  Generally speaking, most dentists will consider it a problem when you have periodontal pocketing above 3mm.

How Do You Know If It Works For You?

Simply have your dentist or hygienist measure your periodontal pockets before you start using the Hydro Floss.  Then use your hydrofloss effectively. 

Then, on your next office visit, see if there has been an improvement in your periodontal pocket depths.   I can't guarantee it for everyone, but it sure worked for me.   And many other people feel that it has worked for them too! 

Gum Disease Is A Problem  For Most People
