HydroFloss Purchase Experience

This was a lovely review that helps to underscore the advantages you obtain by purchasing your HydroFloss from ToothyGrinsStore.com

When you get your Hydro Floss from Toothy Grins you get an advantage that you cannot get from anywhere else.  I think the above review highlights this reality.

Of course, I'll be the first to tell you that not everyone will be happy.

However, among the things to consider is:  Who will tell you when the HydroFloss is NOT right for you? Everyone else is interested in sales.  I'm more interested in helping you choose what you feel is best for you.

The decision of what is right for you is up to you, but talking to me can help you with information, experience and insight that you don't currently have.

Who is going to tell you how to get the most out of your HydroFloss?   You can't even reach the competition and when you do, you will get an unknowledgeable person who won't be able to provide you with the insights you need to help you make your own informed decisions.

In short, who else cares like I do?    I've written a book on the topic of gum disease.  None of my competitors, as far as I know, are able to make that claim.

None of them have the experiences that I have had.  How many of them will spend an hour on the phone with someone?  How many of them have personally talked to hundreds of people about the HydroFloss over the years?

This product and this topic exist in an area that I have experience and insight in.  You can't get that overnight.  It takes time, study, exposure to many people, and experience to be able to help people in the way the gentleman shared in his review.

So, where should you get your HydroFloss?   How about right here:

Is Flossing With Water Better?

Is It Better To Floss With Water?

This is a tricky question.  Because, what people are really asking is, "can I stop flossing with string
floss and use water instead?"

To this I would answer.  NO!  You should still do regular brushing and flossing just like you always (hopefully) have been doing.   You should follow the advice of your dentist or hygienist.

If you are not happy with such advice, you can always get another dentist.

Anyway, I digress.

Is It Better To Us Water Flossing in Conjunction with regular brushing and flossing?

Oh, that is a MUCH better question.   I personally feel that it is and I'll tell you why in a few moments.   But, you should still check with your dentist or hygienist to make sure they don't have a special reason for you not to floss with water.

I frequently hear, from customers, something like this:   "I brush and floss and I think my mouth is clean.  But, when I use the HydroFloss next, little food particles come out on the sink!"

Exactly!  That's one of the reasons I think you should add water flossing to your daily routine.

Gum Disease - 75% Of People Have Some

That's more or less the generally accepted statistic among dental professionals.  They see it every day.  Even if they don't tell you about it, they still see it.

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I think it might be because they expect most people to have some that they don't make a big deal out of it when they see it.   It's usually when things get really bad that they spring it on you.  By that time, it is usually when they think you need gum surgery or a deep cleaning treatment (SRP or Scaling and Root Planing).

The cost of these     cleanings and treatments can get quite high.   The surgery can also be very expensive.

So, it is worth it to prevent or reduce the symptoms of gum disease to the greatest extent possible to protect your gums, and ultimately, your teeth!

This is because gum disease is, by far, the number 1 cause of tooth loss!   So, there is another reason to make sure your gums get healthy and / or stay that way!

Gum disease is a problem that most people face and have faced for thousands of years.   The "Ice Man" they uncovered that was several thousand years old was found to have periodontal (gum disease).   I suspect it is something that has been with us since human beings first appeared on the Earth.

That being the case and the numbers being so high,  it seems that, while regular brushing and flossing are important and you should be doing them, perhaps most of us need to do even more.  That's where flossing with water comes in.

Flossing with water

Flossing with water is basically using a device, like this one.   On that same page, you can scroll down a find a video that shows and tells you how to do it.

Basically, it's not hard to figure out.   However, you will probably make a mess the first time you try it.  Maybe even the second time.

However, usually by the second time and almost certainly by the third time, you'll have it figured out.
You just have to realize how to hold your head over the sink so that the water flows in and out of your mouth and into the sink instead of all over the mirror or walls!  Once you've got that down, you are probably home free!

To revisit an earlier point. it seems

Which Flossing Device Should You Use?

This is a good question.  They are NOT all created equal.   Plaque and tartar buildup between your regular dental cleanings are the enemy.

Since that IS the case.  You want a device that will help to reduce those buildups to the greatest extent possible.  In this case, it is the HydroFloss that excels beyond all the others.

The hydrofloss has been clinically proven, and the studies were peer reviewed, to be more effective with it's magnetic technology than other irrigators.

Why is that important?  It has been shown in both studies to be approximately 50% better at reducing plaque and tartar build up with its magnet than without.   No other machine has the same magnet.

There is one other obscure brand that has a magnet, but it is not the SAME size and dimensions.  It is much smaller and people in the know believe it is too small and incorrectly utilized to make any difference.  So forget that other brand IF you want the best results.  Go with the HydroFloss.

Periodontal Pocket Depths And Gum Disease

You can check out How To Stop Gum Disease in 4 Easy Steps to learn more.   The important thing to know is that I have personally experienced a decrease in periodontal pocket depths due to using the HydroFloss.

I've also talked to many customers who have told me the same thing.

You may wonder, "Why is this important?"

The answer is simple.  Generally speaking when your periodontal pocket depths are at 3mm or less, most dentists will say your gums are healthy.

So, if you have been told you have gum disease, this is important to you.  In addition, remember the stats:  75% of people, that's 3 out of every 4, have some gum disease now, whether they know it or not!

So, this is an important device, not just for you, but possibly for other family members.  Fortunately, you only need one machine.  Each person can have their own tip and use the same machine.

The hydrofloss, because it was able to shrink my periodontal pocket depths - as measured by my dentist - was also able to save me from a $1500 Scaling and Root Planing Treatment!

In fact, many dentists and hygienists recommend the hydrofloss to their patients!

Cost / Benefit Analysis to owning a HydroFloss To Floss With Water

I just mentioned that the HydroFloss saved me from a $1500 Scaling and Root Planing Treatment.  These are often referred to as 'deep cleanings' or 'deep cleaning treatments'

Do you think it was worth it for me to spend $100 for a HydroFloss?   I don't think I need to spell out the savings.

But, here is what is really going to have an impact.   What you are seldom told when you 'need' a SRP or Scaling and Root Planing treatment is that many people need it again in 1 to 3 years.   That's another $1500.

One customer told me that he was told he needed a Deep cleaning not more than 7 months after laser gum surgery - which costs more than regular deep cleanings!

It was over 10 years ago that I discovered the HydroFloss through the above story.   How many MORE SRPs or deep cleanings have I saved myself from since then?

Hmmm....   what is that $3,000 ,  $4500 or $6000 that I saved?   I have no way to know because I have never needed one since that original dentist told me so and changed her mind after I used the HydroFloss.

How's that for cost savings?    You want to start flossing with water?  You see the benefits?  Then go with a HydroFloss.  Don't even think about getting anything else.

Even if you had to buy a new one every year - which you won't.  Wouldn't it still be worth the cost?
You bet it would!

Well that's my story.

Are These Things Available on Amazon?

However, I hope you will buy your HydroFloss here on ToothyGrinsStore.

If you do, let me know and I'll email you a copy of the book:  What You Should Know About Gum Disease which I wrote myself.   You'll learn more about your gums and how you may be able to keep them healthy in that book.

You can buy a physical copy of the book if you want to, but why spend the extra money when I'll send you a .pdf file of the book when you purchase a HydroFloss on this site.  Just leave a note in the 'order notes' when you check out.  (this is on ToothyGrinsStore.com only - this offer does NOT apply if you get your HydroFloss anywhere else).

I hope this article was helpful to you and that you found it to provide valuable insight and information.   If you do feel that way, please consider sharing or sending this link to others:

HydroFloss and Dental Herb - Don't Use It In Your HydroFloss

Warning!  There is an herbal formula out there that some people are selling with their HydroFloss machines.    Do Not use these together!  Read on...

You should not use the dental herb formula in your hydrofloss.  It can and often does cause the reservoir to stick to the base.  When you pull the reservoir off to fill it, the stickiness pressure from the herbal formula will resist and you can end up breaking your reservoir.

Some people break several reservoirs before they realize that the problem is the herbal formula.

As a general rule, don't use anything sticky or gritty in your hydrofloss.

I hope that information saves you from spending unnecessary money in repairs and replacements.

You can find the HydroFloss here

Is Your HydroFloss Hose Leaking?

Does Your HydroFloss Hose Or Handle Leak?

Don't Go Without A HydroFloss

The hydrofloss is one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal to help keep your gums and teeth healthy.  If you are having a problem with your HydroFloss either repair or replace it.

You can find many parts or a whole new unit here on this site.

When Traveling

If you are going to travel to a country that has a 220V system, and you are planing to take your HydroFloss, then you will want a voltage converter.

Reservoir

If you drop your reservoir, it may shatter.  This is particularly true on a tile bathroom floor.   I have done it myself.   If that has happened to you, it is not necessary to buy a whole new unit.  Instead, you can get just the reservoir here.

However, if water is coming out of the bottom of the reservoir you may be missing either the white plastic insert or the o-ring.  They may have inadvertently come out during cleaning.  It's possible that you missed one or both of them.

view the picture of the reservoir to determine if one or both of them is missing.

HydroFloss Instructions

If you are looking for a copy of the original instructions that came with your HydroFloss, you can find those instructions here.

Can You Get A HydroFloss At Walmart?

Currently, you cannot get a HydroFloss At Walmart

Up to the date of this being written,  June 14th 2015, you cannot get a hydrofloss at Walmart.  In addition, as far as I know, it will not be available in the future there - as things stand at the moment I wrote this.

Where can you get a HydroFloss then?

There are very, very few brick and mortar retail stores where you will find a hydrofloss.

Currently, (at the time this was written) you cannot find them in any CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Sears, Rite-Aid or any other big chain retailer.

However, you can get one at the link above.  You can also find parts on this site as well.   If you have questions about the information in this post, you can call me at 1-888-586-6849 .

A Simple Way To Shrink Gum Pockets

Have you been told that your pockets are too deep and or that you have gum disease and need a special (expensive) treatment or that you might lose your teeth?

Is there an easier way?

Well, each human body is different of course.  However, many people, including myself have found an easier and less expensive way to shrink gum pockets down to normal levels.

*When your pockets are 3 mm or less, generally speaking, most dental professionals will say that your gums are healthy at that point.  It's also generally believed that the bacteria can no longer do damage to your gum tissue and supporting bone when your pockets are kept to these smaller sizes.

There may be more than one way to crack this nut.  But the easiest, fastest and most convenient way I know - plus it's the way that seems to provide great results for a LOT of people (not just a few) is using this device:

It worked for me and has worked for many other people I have spoken with.  There are some tricks and insights that I can share with you.  I reserve those conversations for my customers.  I'll be glad to share this information with those who purchase through ToothyGrinsStore.com.

It's basically an added benefit for those who purchase one through this site.

I've also written a book on gum disease and have various other insights and helpful information to share.

So, why not start with the one thing that seems to work the best for the most people?   Nothing will work 100% of the time for 100% of the people, but this has worked for a LOT of people.

Do You Have The Right Toothbrush?

Do I have the Right toothbrush?

It's a good question to ask.  Of course, you want to go with your dentist's advice under all circumstances  (or find a better dentist if you don't like his / her answers!)

But, here are some things to think about.

Are you using a super soft toothbrush?  The softer the better.  Hard and medium bristles may be hard
on your gums and could even potentially cause erosion of gum tissue.  So, going with the softest toothbrush possible is a good idea.

Along with this is should come the understanding that brushing HARD is NOT the right thing to do.  I think a lot of people have the mental conception that they some how have to SCRUB hard to clean teeth.  This is actually not good.

The purpose of brushing is to disrupt plaque.  Plaque is relatively easy to disrupt.  The secret is doing it consistently and constantly.   But brushing hard is completely unnecessary and could even potentially be harmful.

So brush gently, just do it frequently.  Ask your dental professional if you are not sure about how often.

For me personally, several times a day is what I like.

Should I use an electric or manual toothbrush?

Great question.  I know the electric toothbrush industry claims their brushes are safe for gum tissue.  I'm not convinced that is true.   Again, consult with your dentist.

I do use an electric toothbrush but I keep it away from my gums.  I like to go back over gently with a manual toothbrush around the gum line.  I also use dental floss and a perio-aid.  A perio-aid is essentially a blunted toothpick on a plastic holder that you use to trace around the gum line.  Be sure to ask your periodontist how to use one properly.

The final thing I want you to think about is:

Brushing is great and it should be done. But the biggest question I have is:  Is brushing enough?

I don't think it is enough by itself and I'll tell you the reason why.   Dental professionals tell us that about 75% of people have gum disease right now!   That's 3 out of every 4 people.

I know there are people out there who do a poor job of brushing and flossing.  But I think there are a lot of people who do these things quite well and they still end up with gum disease.

This is a problem because gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss.  Losing teeth is expensive and no artificial device is going to be as good as the original.   I can only think of how George Washington must of suffered with his primitive dentures.

So, what do I think you should add to your daily routine that can help you to avoid, prevent and even lessen the ravages of gum disease?

How To Get a Free Package Of Tips When You Order Your HydroFloss Oral Irrigator From ToothyGrinsStore.com

Hi!  This video is about how to get your extra tips.   It shows you exactly where to put the note during the checkout process!

The page shown in the video is here:    http://www.toothygrinsstore.com/HydroFloss-p/hydrofloss01.htm

In this video I show you how to get a free package of tips when you purchase your hydrofloss from the above page or from http://BestFlosser.com

When you go through the checkout process, there is an order comment section that I highlight in the video.  You can simply write in the order comment section something like:

"I would like a free package of regular jet tips with my hydrofloss".  That will be sufficient.

That tells us that you want to take us up on our free tip offer.

If you do not write that in the order comment section your HydroFloss will ship without extra tips and you cannot claim them later.

The reason why is that we do not want to incur two shipping charges.  Therefore, it is imperative that you order the tips at the time you checkout.

If I could tell people one thing about their dental health

I have to say that sometimes 'secrets' are right out in the open.

Many of my customers already understand the 'secret' I'm about to unveil to you.

The secret is a fantastic machine that can help you protect your dental health and protect against the need for costly treatments and lost teeth.

This is that machine:

 http://www.toothygrinsstore.com/HydroFloss-p/hydrofloss01.htm

You know gum disease is a serious problem, right?   It affects 75% of people (according to the dental industry) and it is the number one cause of tooth loss.

If you want to understand this problem and this tool a little better, check out http://howtostopgumdisease.com

The HydroFloss has proven to be an important tool for me as I attribute it with saving me from the dreaded 'Scaling and Root Planing'  or 'SRP' or 'Deep Cleaning' treatment.

Many people have gum disease and don't yet realize it.   Many people are told that their periodontal pockets are deeper than 3mm but they don't know what that means.

Unfortunately, there is just too much ignorance around this topic.

You can find a good layman's resource at http://gingivitiskiller.com

Lowest Price On HydroFloss

The HydroFloss distribution is strictly controlled and retailers are not allowed to advertise below the price of $98.

The MSRP for the HydroFloss is $129.

However, many online retailers choose to sell for the lowest permitted price of $98.

If You Find One For Less

As I just mentioned the lowest permissible price for the HydroFloss is $98.

If you find someone advertising for less, you have to wonder the following:

What are they really selling?   - Authorized retailers are NOT ALLOWED to advertise below that price.

If you find it for less, is this person authorized to sell this machine?

Will the warranty be valid?

Are you really getting a genuine HydroFloss or an Imitation?

Where did the seller get it from?

The only other possibility is that an authorized seller is breaking the rules.   This is not very likely because the consequences for advertising for less can include being barred from selling the HydroFloss altogether.

Therefore!

Beware of anyone advertising a lower selling price!

You can buy your HydroFloss here at ToothyGrinsStore.com   and you can feel safe that you are getting it from an authorized distributor.  Your warranty will be valid.   You will have a REAL, genuine HydroFloss.

The machine is fantastic and you definitely want the real thing.

Hydro Pik Water Pik

Some people search for Hydro Pik Water Pik when they are really looking for the HydroFloss

That's understandable because sometimes it is hard to remember what something is actually called. So, I created this blog post to help you out so that you would be able to find what you are actually looking for.

Different Brands

It's understandable to forget the name sometimes.  But to set the record straight, the WaterPik and the HydroFloss are different brands.  They are both oral irrigators, but they are made by different companies.

In my opinion, they don't do the same thing.

The HydroFloss is my favorite.   The biggest advantage it has over the WaterPik models is that it employs a large magnet.

The purpose of the magnet is to put a charge on minerals that pass through it.  This charge causes plaque and bacteria to become less adhesive to the teeth and therefore, they come off easier!

This has been shown, by true researchers, to be more effective at reducing plaque and tartar buildup between your regular dental visits!

In short, this means that your dental health can end up being a LOT better under the hydrofloss.

That's just a short explanation.  If you still have questions,  feel free to call me at the phone number you see at the top of this page.

Home Remedy For Gum Disease

Self Treatment Is Not The Best Idea

First and most importantly.  Please realize that you should always be under the care of a good dentist, or better yet, a good periodontist when dealing with gum disease.

There are multiple reasons for this.

One is that it is difficult for you to know and understand what you are dealing with.  For more information about what gum disease is and what you can do about it, read this book.

Secondly,  whatever you try to do to combat gum disease will still require someone to validate or refute the results you get.

For example,  say you saw some commercial about a mouthwash that fights gum disease and you try it.   Don't think that the problem is gone.  You need your periodontist to verify that your gums are healthy.

Those commercials can be a bit misleading.

The problem of gum disease is more complicated than that and will likely require more than just using mouthwash.   Please read the book referenced above for more information.

What I Think You Should Try - And Can Be Used From Your Home

As mentioned before, always be under the care of and be monitored by a good periodontist when attempting any type of remedy.   They can tell you if it is working for you or not.

Having said that, there is something that worked for me and has worked for a lot of other people too - and the results have been verified by the dental professionals that care for those people.

In fact, many dental professionals already know about this machine that you use at home.

I tried many things before I used this tool and I can tell you that this tool worked more thoroughly and completely than any of the other things I tried.

Something Serious

Gum disease is a serious problem.

1. It is the number one cause of tooth loss!

2.  Dental professionals tell us that 3 out of every 4 people  (75%)  have some right now!

It's sneaky and relatively silent.  Many people don't know they have it until they either see their gums receding or the dentists tells them  (another reason to go to your regular appointments and cleanings).
There are many people who have lost teeth and have had to get dentures and implants and they still don't know the reason is that they had gum disease.

In addition, many professional researchers have been finding connections to gum disease and other diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, lung infections and even oral cancer.    Of course, more research is needed, but generally speaking, MANY researchers have been noting these connections for years upon years.

Therefore, gum disease is rather serious and pretty sneaky!

It's important to find a good dentist or a good periodontist.   In my opinion, finding a good one is NOT easy - but you must do the work to find one.

In a nutshell, you have to find a caring and compassionate doctor who is more interested in saving your teeth than in pulling them and giving you implants.

Such doctors do exist, but they may not be so easy to find.

I hope this information has helped you.  Please leave a comment below and speak your mind, share your experience or give your opinions on this topic.

Sincerely,

David Snape

Dr Gordon Fraser Recommends the HydroFloss To His Patient

I'm always delighted to hear about a periodontist who tells his patients about the HydroFloss.

Why?

Because it is the mark of a doctor who cares about his patients.

It's much easier and more lucrative to tell a patient they need a tooth pulled and an implant installed.

This is the way many doctors go today.

But saving a tooth is a far better way to serve a patient - even if it means making less money.

Potentially - A Good Doctor

The doctor who forgoes the easy and more lucrative path for the greater good of a patient is a relatively good doctor, in my opinion.

A customer called and told me that Doctor Fraser in Atlanta recommended the HydroFloss to her in order to help save a tooth.

I don't know doctor Fraser personally,  I only know what his patient told me.   Based on that, I would feel comfortable suggesting that he is a periodontist worth checking out.

Most Dentists Know But Don't Mention This To Their Patients.

Most dentists know about the HydroFloss today, but how many are telling their patients?  This is especially true for periodontists.  They specialize in gum health and disease.  Since this is their specialty, I think it is fairly unlikely that there are many periodontists who haven't heard of the HydroFloss.

In addition, the HydroFloss' superior results have been well documented in the periodontists' professional journal:  - The Journal of Clinical Periodontology.    So, they should be aware!

Why Are They Not Telling Patients?

The problem is that very few dental professionals tell their patients about the HydroFloss!   But doctors who actually care more about the patient's well being than making a few grand off an implant are examples of relatively good doctors.

I don't want to comment about the doctors who know about it and don't share it with their patients.  Let's leave those types of comments up to the public.  The public can make its own observation and form its own opinion.   Individuals can decide for themselves what makes a good doctor.

I'm only saying that those who recommend the HydroFloss care about their patients.

I think it is clear why I say that.   You can say it's my opinion, or whatever, but I think a rational person will likely understand.

Of course, you should always be under the care of a good dentist and get your regular cleanings too!
Finding a good one is the challenge.

Best Regards,

David Snape

Oxycare 3000 Hydromagnetic Oral Irrigator - Is There Something Better?

Is There Something That Works Better?

I'll Let You Be The Judge.

Both the Oxycare 3000 and the Hydro Floss employ a magnet.   The idea behind the magnet is that it can place a charge on minerals in water.  That charge causes the plaque and bacteria to become less adhesive and to come off the teeth easier.

So far so good right?

But, There is a Catch...

You see, the hydro floss came first and it was born out of an understanding of Michael Faraday's research from centuries ago.

There is a mathematical calculation involved.

The Hydro Floss' long cylindrical magnet meets those mathematical criteria.   However, the small round magnet inside the oxycare is not likely to meet those requirements.

Testing....

The Hydro Floss has been clinically tested by real, unbiased researchers.  Those researchers were completely independent from the Hydro Floss company.

Their research was peer reviewed and published in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.

That is the professional journal for periodontists - dentists who further specialize in gum health and disease.

Both studies showed that the HydroFloss is able to create the effect of less plaque and tartar buildup between regular office visits.

This is important because it is plaque and tartar where the bad bacteria that do so much harm to our teeth and gums hide.

People, like myself, have really been able to improve the health of their gums with the Hydro Floss.

On the other hand....  The Oxycare has not been studied by the same professional unbiased researchers and no results have been published in the above mentioned journal that I'm aware of.

Question is, would you rather have something that is proven to work or something that 'might' work.  Plus, based on what I mentioned about the magnet above, there is a big question mark about how well it may work compared to the Hydro Floss.

Conclusions

Do you go with something that 'might' be as good or do you go with the original good item?    I guess it's a judgement call but I sure know what I would choose.

Proven effective VS a Question Mark?    - Which will you choose?  You be the judge...

How Long Does It Take To Reduce Pockets Using The HydroFloss?

Reducing Pockets With The HydroFloss

When using the Hydro Floss properly, your dentist may be able to measure your changes in as little as a month.

I had a customer in Virginia tell me that she had a 9 mm pocket reduce to a 2mm pocket in less time than a month.   I can't vouch for her results, but I don't have any reason to doubt her.

I'd say your dentist should be able to measure results, if you are going to get them, in as little as thirty days.

The Dentist Tells You

The nice part about it all is that your dentist will verify for you what your results are.  It's an objective measure.  It's the depth of the periodontal pockets - essentially a measure of the depth of gap between gum tissue and your tooth.

Generally speaking, 3mm or less is considered healthy and above that is considered unhealthy.

The Best Practice

Some people do not use the Hydro Floss in a way that maximizes results.  There is a 'best practice' that gets the best results for the most people.

Customer who obtain their Hydro Floss from Toothy Grins Store are entitled to a phone call with me where I will explain what that best practice is and answer your other questions.

Again, all results should be measured by your dentist or hygienist.  Then you will know if it is working for you or not.
