Hydro Floss Cannula Tips
These particular cannula tips come with the extension, so you don't need to worry about paying extra to get an extension. An extension will be needed because the cannula tips will not fit directly on handle. The 'extender' or 'adapter' will allow you to attach to the handle.
The purpose of these tips is to help people who have 8-10 mm periodontal pockets. They are to be used after the regular jet tips and NOT instead of.
Of course, you will want your hygienist or dentist to properly measure those depths for you. Generally speaking, 3mm and below is considered healthy. So, if you already know that your pockets are at 8-10 mm as verified by your dentist, then you may want to consider these tips. Of course, you should ask your dentist about it.
These tips are only designed to work with the Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator and no other type of irrigator. To understand why the Hydro Floss oral irrigator is the one you want to be working with anyway, read this.
I would also suggest, regardless of where your periodontal pocket depths are, and this includes those who ARE at 3mm and below (for the purpose of prevention) you may want to download this free guide (free with email submit): I am the person who wrote: How To Stop Gum Disease In 4 Easy Steps
I think with that guide, things will make a lot more sense in regards to how to use your Hydro Floss properly and how to measure your results (with the help of your doctor).
I just speak in general terms here. Specific questions about your unique dental health situation should be addressed by your periodontist or dentist. But, I do think you will get a lot of good information out of that free guide. You will find even more in the book I wrote: What You Should Know About Gum Disease - A Layman's Guide to Fighting Gum Disease
