Do You Use A Redirect Script For Your Blogs Or Marketing?

I have a pretty cool, one-time-fee script that I have been using for redirects for several years now.

There are some redirect script monthly subscriptions that cost $20 per month.  One major draw back I see to those monthly script subscriptions is that if you ever drop that service (or miss a payment) , what happens to all of those links you created?

The answer is: They belong to someone else now!

Why Would You Want To Use A Redirect Script?

One of the major benefits is to be able to see where the most click-throughs are coming from.  Here is an example:

You make a blog post and you are curious to see where the most traffic will come from.   You can create a separate link for Facebook, twitter, google +, Pinterest or anywhere else that you might send a link to notify your followers.

Since this particular script tracks clicks you can see where your clicks are coming from.

What if you have a landing page?  

Let's say you have a well converting landing page that brings you lots of leads each month.  The problem is, there are three places that the customers can click to get to the end result.   You know the page works well, but you don't know why.

Just place three tracking links on that page and you can find out which one is getting the clicks.  That could be very insightful and useful info for you.

Easy To Change

Another problem is that perhaps you want to change the page that all of those links you have on your favorite social media goes to.   No problem.  You login to your software and just change the place that link redirects too!   Easy fix.

If you had hundreds of links going somewhere and you want to change that, you can quickly do so.

Those are just a few reasons why you would want to have a redirect tracking script.  You can probably think of many other reasons.  

Clearly, it is a little dangerous to use a third party (monthly payment) script for your links.  That could really present a problem one day.
