Update: There seems to be a great deal of controversy on this topic. I interpret what I have read about him, the things he said, etc to mean that he believed there was a God that he could not begin to understand.
`He may have rejected how others viewed God, but I do not think that means that he, himself, did not believe in God. I think it means just the opposite.
==========
You can check out Wikipedia on this topic. It does appear to me that he believed in God. Some people like to point out that it was a slightly different version of God than most people think of.
He found the teachings of Christ and those in Judaism to be very good and he respected them.
He recognized that there was something very profound going on under the surface of things. He recognized that there had to be an order to it all and to me, that is an acknowledgement of God.
He mentioned that the Universe seems to run according to immutable laws.
So, you see, Albert Einstein was a smart man - by most people's standards. My opinion is that he believed in God.
Personally, I find the book, Zhuan Falun, to be very good and very profound. Have you read it yet?
