The World Needs Healing...

I was just watching some videos about crazy people like Manson and a woman that was executed for killing 7 men.

When you listen to them, they do talk nonsense.  But that nonsense usually has a few moments of clarity.

I definitely am not defending such people.  I'm just suggesting that the line between reality and insanity may not be as thick as we all would like to believe it is.

It seems that they had some severe trauma in their lives and their brains coped with it as best they could.

People are vulnerable. We are born as babies in a state of complete ignorance.  We don't know what we don't know.  That's true when we are children and it is still true when we are 50 years old.

So who is insane?  Clearly those who hurt others are a threat to society.   But maybe it is the last option to a mind that believed it had limited options.

I don't know the answers.   I just know that all of us suffer in a variety of ways.  It is difficult for us to recognize our own suffering sometimes, let alone that of others.

There is chaos everywhere in this world.   In our ignorance, we make many mistakes.  It is difficult for everyone.

Putting others first and thinking of others seems like a good way to find some balance amidst the chaos.   You have probably heard before that those who help others tend to be happier people.

Those who focus on defending what they have or getting more tend to be the most unhappy of people.   Isn't that an interesting phenomenon?

I don't have the answers myself.  That is for sure.  I'm just as human as the next guy or girl.

It's humbling to admit that I don't have all the answers (or even many of them).  And it is important for all of us to understand that about ourselves as well.

Any thoughts?

you fall behind when you get in a hurry

Sincerely,

PS:  Consider reading Zhuan Falun.  I think that's a good book with real answers.
