I can leave it plugged in for weeks at a time. If you are traveling to Europe or overseas to any country that is on the 220V system (America is 110V) and you have any electronics or personal care items that you need to power, this is the right converter to get.
Some converters don't last long at all. But, I have used this converter to power my gear for long periods of time with no problems whatsoever.

[I do suggest you watch this to learn the difference between a converter and an adaptor. Not knowing this difference could cost you a lot of money and aggravation. +David Snape - I know because it once happened to me!
