Hello Elizabeth,
Thanks for writing in with your concern.
A few years ago, the HydroFloss pressure was intentionally decreased.
You can check to make sure you have the correct flow but filling it up, turning the dial to number 9 , removing the tip and placing the handle in the sink. Then turn the HydroFloss on. Time how long it takes to drain. If it is between 2 and 3 minutes you have the right pressure on your machine.
Your question is not an uncommon one, so it is not unusual what you are experiencing. This is particularly true because you had one of the older ones.
I also want to point out that the power of the HydroFloss has never been about pressure. It has always been about the charge that is applied to minerals in the water when they pass through the magnet. This is what has always allowed the HydroFloss to provide a superior reduction in plaque and tartar between your regular dental cleaning visits. That part has not changed by reducing the pressure. It is where the real "magic', so to speak, of the HydroFloss really is.
I hope I was able to answer your question thoroughly. If you want to talk to me with further questions, I'm also available at 888-586-6849
Sincerely,
David for ToothyGrinsStore
