The Hydrofloss Magnetic Oral Irrigator

Hydro Floss Magnetic Water Oral Irrigator

The Hydro Floss is an amazing device that has the potential to really help you with your dental health.  How so?  Read on, because this will take a little while to explain thoroughly.

The Best Oral Irrigator

The hydrofloss is the best oral irrigator, bar none.  I know that is a bold statement to make, but there are a number of reasons why this is true.  A big part of that is the magnetic effect on minerals in water as they pass through your hydro floss.

If you want the oral irrigator that will do the most good for your dental health, then the Hydro Floss is the right choice.

Dentists and Hygienists Recommend It

magnetic, hydro floss whyThere are now many dentists and hygienist that recommend the hydro floss.  They can see that it creates good results for their patients.

Magnetic Oral Irrigator

hydrofloss magnetic oral irrigatorIf you were to hold a paper clip up to your Hydro Floss handle, you will find that there is a large cylindrical magnet there.   The size of this magnet is important.

There is a mathematical calculation regarding the effects of a magnet on minerals in water.    Therefore,  not just any size magnet will work for this purpose.   The people who make the Hydro Floss know this formula.

There used to be an imitation irrigator out there that had a much smaller magnet.  It is very unlikely that the smaller magnet had the same effect on the minerals that the larger magnet of the Hydro Floss has.    That might be one of the reasons that you don't hear much about it any more.

The manufacturers of other irrigator brands have either ignored or discounted the difference this magnet makes.   That is why they cannot produce the results that the Hydro Floss can.

However, the power of this magnetic has been studied and documented in the prestigious professional journal:  The Journal Of Clinical Periodontology.   This happened not just once, but two times.   The first time was in the May of 1993 edition and the second was in the April of 1998 edition.

I remember one person said that the studies are too old and therefore irrelevant.   I thought that was VERY strange.   If something WORKS, it works.  Why would it matter how long ago someone discovered that it actually worked?

Bottom line, these studies showed a significantly greater ability to reduce plaque and tartar build up between regular office cleanings and checkups.   Ho Hum, right?    Why is that important?   Read on.

This ability ranges between 40% - 50% better (give or take, I don't remember the exact numbers but you can find the Journal studies if you really want to.

Why Reducing Plaque and Tartar Is Important To Your Dental Health

to your dental health, reducing plaque and tartar is importantThis is something to pay attention to because a large portion of dental health problems stem from the build up of plaque and tartar (Calculus).   The 'bad' or anaerobic bacteria actually create plaque.   If it is not frequently disrupted it will turn into tartar or calculus.

As a side note, do you know that researchers have discovered that bacteria can transfer information across species?  They can actually teach each other how to resist antibiotics.  This is one of the biggest problems that modern medicine has trouble solving.

The purpose of building the plaque layer, which is also referred to as a biofilm  because it is created by living bacteria, is to shield themselves from oxygen.

When they are shielded from oxygen they are able to perform metabolism (living, breeding, sustaining and growing)  anaerobically (without oxygen).   They are able to rapidly reproduce when this biofilm is intact and completely formed.

With this special kind of anaerobic metabolism, there are acidic byproducts.   These byproducs (waste) are damaging to both your teeth and gum tissue.   They can breach enamel which starts the formation of cavities.   The acid can also destroy the bone and flesh supporting your teeth (gum disease.)

Gum disease IS something that MOST people have.  But that does not make it ok.   Professionals figure that about 75% of people have some gum disease right now.

Gum disease, unfortunately, is the number one reason people lose their teeth.   Equally unfortunately, people chalk lost teeth up to aging.  But without gum disease, those same teeth would probably NOT be lost.

How Does The Hydro Floss Help?

how can the Hydro floss help you? Remember earlier that I mentioned that the Hydro Floss has a much greater capacity to reduce plaque and tartar build up between your regular office visits?   This is how the Hydro Floss can help.  By keeping that buildup down to a minimum, you are essentially protecting your dental health.

Of course,  you should want the oral irrigator that is going to do the best job at that.  Why not?  This is the essence of protecting or improving your dental health!

How This All Started

how the hydrofloss got startedIt all started with a man who was told that he was going to lose his teeth.  Out of necessity, inventions are often born.   He happened to know a few things about magnets and he wondered if it could make a difference and possibly save his teeth.

It did.  That same dentist later told him he was out of danger.  That's how it all started and that was around 25 years ago.   The Hydro Floss has been around that long and yet not so many people have heard of it.

You Are Lucky To Find This Now

lucky to find thisI'm not kidding when I say you are lucky to find out about the HydroFloss  now.   If you are able to save even a single tooth over the course of your lifetime, then it is more than worth it.   In the US, a single implant can cost over $2000.   And for multiple lost teeth, you can imagine how the costs mount up.

I hope I have done a good job of helping you understand why the Hydro Floss is important to you personally.   Each new Hydro Floss comes with four color coded (different color) tips.  So one Hydro Floss can help a family of four.   And, you can also get additional tips, rather inexpensively - if you have.

Many Other Diseases Are Related To Gum Disease

gum disease is related to many other diseases somehowIt might just be that you will be protecting more than your dental health.  Researchers have found connections between gum disease and heart attacks, strokes, lung infections, mouth cancers, preterm, low birth weight babies and many more problems.

This is really just a modern day confirmation by researchers of ancient wisdom.  Wasn't it always common practice to check the mouth of a farm animal before buying it?   Those people instinctively understood that an unhealthy mouth was a bad sign in an animal.

Of course, human beings are not the same as animals in many regards.  But, frankly speaking, the gum disease problem seams to exist in many animals as well as human beings.

I hope it makes sense how protecting or improving your dental health now could help to protect you from other diseases later (or perhaps sooner).

As the author of the book:  What You Should Know About Gum Disease : A Layman's Guide To Fighting Gum Disease, I believe the Hydro Floss is one of the most powerful tools or products you can use in regards to your dental health.

Next, let's talk about how to use your Hydro Floss effectively and how to measure results without a lot of 'guess work'.

Using Your Hydro Floss Magnetic Water Irrigator Effectively.

using your hydro floss magnetic irrigator effectivelyAs I mentioned before, the Hydro Floss has a magnet that acts on the minerals that are in water.  Therefore, you need to be sure to use water that has minerals in it.

Basically, you can just use plain tap water.   You won't be drinking this water.  It will flow into your mouth and then out again.   If you really don't want to use tap water, you can use spring water.  It has minerals in it.

Don't use R/O or distilled water.   You can use them, but you will be losing the huge benefit of the magnetic effect on the minerals.   Basically, it would be the same as using a plain old ordinary irrigator.   Who wants that, right?

The best practice for using the Hydro Floss is to use two full reservoirs per use, twice per day.  If you do the math that is 4 full reservoirs per day.   Sound like a lot?   It's not!

On pressure setting 9, I can drain a full reservoir in about 2 minutes and 10 seconds.   That would be about 5 minutes i n the morning and 5 in the evening.  That's a really good deal when you are trying to improve or maintain your dental health!

I had a customer that thought that was going to be a lot.  After trying it out, here is what she had to say:

You see, it really is not bad at all.  You can do this and do it rather easily.

If your periodontal pocket depths (we'll talk more about this next) are all 3 mms and below, you may not need to do this full protocol.  Basically, whatever is able to maintain healthy periodontal pocketing is good enough.  That's a hint about what I'm going to say next.

I hope this section helped you to understand how to get the most out of your hydro floss oral irrigator.

Checking And Monitoring Your Results

checking and monitoring your hydrofloss resultsNothing under the sun will work 100% of the time for 100% of the people.  However, if you follow the 'effective use' section above, you will maximize your chances for success.  And It does seem to me after talking to many people and customers that the Hydro Floss is working for an awful lot of people.

That's the reason that I make it my top recommendation.   If I thought there was something that was able to help a greater amount of people with greater ease and simplicity, I would recommend that instead.  However, this is what I think is best.

How can you objectively measure your results.   This is one of the best insights you will find.  This is something that few hygienists or dentists take the time to teach their patients.  But, this one understanding can make a big difference to you.

Ready?   Their is a measurement called periodontal pocket depths.  This is one of the primary indicators, generally speaking, that dentist use to determine the health (or lack) of your gum tissues.  Generally speaking, 3mm and below is considered good or healthy.  Conversely,  above 3mm is generally considered a problem or 'unhealthy'.

Therefore, you goal is to get those periodontal pockets shrunk down to 3mm or below everywhere in your mouth - if possible.    If you don't know what those pocket depths are now, you can ask at your next visit.   Maybe using the Hydro Floss will make them smaller than they would have been otherwise.

If you already know what your readings were from your last visit, GREAT!  That's your baseline.  Simply use the Hydro Floss as described above for about a month and get them checked again.  You might be surprised at your improvement!

The great part about this is that this is a relatively objective measurement.  This is far better than having someone look at your mouth and tell 'it looks good' or 'it doesn't look good'.   The numbers give you something to shoot for and to measure your results against!   How liberating!

I hope this section has helped you to understand what your end goal is and how you can verify or measure your results.
