Why Does Good Advice Fall on Deaf Ears?

I bet this is a question that you have asked yourself from time to time!   I know I certainly have asked this question myself.

There  have probably been any number of situations where you had good information that could really help people.  But, when you try to say something, you are completely ignored.

Oh, maybe they listen politely but they NEVER take your advice or information to heart.   Do you find that odd?    I know I certainly do.

You have an answer that could really help, let the person will not listen.   It is even more painful when you have to stand by and watch them make painful mistakes as a result of NOT listening!

What is it about human nature that makes it this way?
