The concept is pretty straight forward. The belief is that certain foods have an alkalizing affect on the body.
Alkaline = More Basic
Versus More Acidic.
So, the theory is that certain foods can make your body chemistry (mostly blood I think) move slightly in an alkaline direction.
This has been attributed to multiple health affects by 'natural healers'.
Mainstream medicine generally doesn't acknowledge this kind of 'thinking'. But there may be a few bold doctors who step forward to talk about it.
But say you know what alkaline foods are and you are already eating them.
The next question would naturally be? What are you drinking? Are you drinking Alkaline Water?
