Scaling And Root Planing Treatment - Can It Be Avoided?

Scaling And Root Planing Treatment - Can It Be Avoided?

Of course, you always want to work with your dental professional.   If you are not happy with your current one, you can always get another.

If you are having problems with your gums, it might be in your best interest to see a periodontist anyway.  Periodontists are gum specialists.

I was able to avoid the dreaded Scaling and Root Planing Treatment that was recommended by my dentist way back in 2005 and I'm going to tell you how I did it.

I cannot guarantee that you will get the same results.  I can only tell you what happened for me and others that I have spoken to over the years.

You Need A Scaling And Root Planing Treatment

This is what my dentist and hygienist told me:  "You need a scaling and root planing treatment.  Nothing else will help you.  You need to do this today so that insurance will pay for it".

I don't know if that sounds like your situation, but this is what happened to me.

Marketing avoidance 101:  Never on the same day!   You have the right to think things over.  There are also ethical issues on the doctor's side if they insist on something like that the same day that they tell you.

What Is The Problem, Why Do I Need A Scaling and Root Planing?

Typically, this is what your dentist will recommend when you have periodontal pocket depths in excess of 3mm.

Why?  Generally speaking, most dentists would say your gums are healthy when your pockets are at 3mm or less.   The same is true in reverse.  Most dentists, generally speaking, will say that your gums are unhealthy when above 3mm in periodontal pocket depths.

So, from this we can derive a simple concept:  We want to get our pockets to 3mm or less and keep them there.

How?  Again, I can tell you about my own experience.

This is what I used:

You can also find it here on this site:   HydroFloss

After I used this machine for a few months, my dentist told me.  "Whatever you are doing, keep it up.  You don't need that treatment any longer."

That's my story.

PS:   I do offer free coaching on how to use this machine for people who purchase their HydroFloss at ToothyGrins.net or ToothyGrinsStore.com at the above links.    If you already have this machine and want the coaching,  the cost is $100 for 30 minutes of my time over the phone.    (Might as well buy one to have a spare and get the free coaching).   I'll let you know the essential details to giving yourself the best chance to be successful at using this machine.
