Can You Do Anything About 8 - 10 mm Periodontal Pockets?

Imagine this scenario:  You have been told by your dentist or hygienist that you have deep periodontal pockets.  Some are as deep as 8-10 mms.

They tell you that you need to have a 'deep cleaning' or SRP (Scaling and Root Planing Treatment)  Check out the average cost on these.

So, you start to figure out that you need to get your periodontal pockets down to 3mm or less to be considered 'healthy'.

That seems like quite a jump from 8 or 10 mms to 3, doesn't it?

http://blog.toothygrinsstore.com/2013/06/scaling-and-root-planing-costs-in.htmlThese tips were specially designed to aid in this purpose.   Of course, no guarantee can be made because every human body is different.

But the tool that goes along with these tips, has helped a number of people shrink their pockets.

You can always find out for sure, but having your periodontal pockets measured again at your next office visit.  Then you can compare the new results to the old.   If they are getting smaller or have completely shrunk to that 3mm or less level,  I guess you have been doing something right!

Check out these tips now.

Sincerely,

Hydro Floss Size Dimensions

Size Dimensions for The HydroFloss Oral Irrigator

As you see in the picture to your left:

1. Left to Right: Approximately 10 inches

2. Top To Bottom or Lid to Bottom  approximately 6 Inches

3. Front To Back  approximately 4 inches

Now, the handle on the left changes things a bit if height is going to be a problem.    Without a Tip, if you want to place the want in it's holder it will be approximately 8 inches.  If you include the tip, then you should consider 12 inches.

However, it is possible to lay the wand on top of the lid when it is not in use.  Therefore, you would only need about 6.5 inches to store the Hydro Floss.

Excluding the handle and the tip, the dimensions work as follow:  Dimensions: 8.25"L x 4.00"W x 5.00"H.  However, when considering space requirements, it makes little sense to ignore the handle and tip.   It is much more convenient to leave the handle and tip in their proper locations between uses.

I wrote this post because I do occasionally get call from people about the size dimensions of the Hydro Floss

I hope this clears up any questions.   As you see in the picture the Hydro Floss comes with 4 regular jet tips that are color coded.   You don't need to buy extra regular tips with your Hydro Floss (unless more than 4 people will be using the machine).  But, you may want replacements.

There are special tips for different needs.  If you download and read the guide : How To Stop Gum Disease In 4 Easy Steps, you will have a better idea about how to use this machine and what you may need extra.

I would say most of the time,  just start with the regular jet tips.   Some people do want the pocket pals for preventive reasons or when attacking 5-6 mm periodontal pockets.

Here are the other specialty tips.

Sulcus Tips - These are also for 5-6 mm periodontal pockets.  Some people have gotten use to using these but the pocket pals are made for the same purpose and may be more comfortable.

There is also the Cannula jet tips - These are for 8-10 mm pockets.  The version of Cannula tips we sell at Toothy Grins Store includes an extender - so you don't need to worry about getting an extra extension part.

I hope that providing the size dimensions will help more people who have questions.

If you have any other questions about this or anything else, do feel free to call the store at 1-888-586-6849.
