The annual NET income for dentists who owned part or all of their practice was around $190,000 per year for general denitsts and around $305,000 per year for specialists. (these stats come out of report created in 2009)I'm sure that situations vary widely for individual dentists. I think we were meant to take this as some type of average. It's always difficult to perceive the accuracy or relative accuracy of any statistic.
Never the less, these are NET figures and not gross. This, of course, would mean that the average dentist earns far more than the average person or patient that he or she might be treating.
