Question: I have had the above [ Hydro Floss ] model for nearly 30 years......works very well. However, recently the hose became disconnected from the handle. How do I reconnect it ? Answer: You cannot reconnect the hose to the handle. They are manufactured as one piece.
You can, if you so choose, replace the hose and handle as one unit.
This page has a video that shows you how to do that:
There is also a 2 pack hose assembly that allows you to save a little bit. It would be good if you have two machines to fix or just want to keep a spare around.
You can use the link above to checkout online However, if you wish to order by phone you can do so by dialing 888-586-6849.

We have had a shortage on Hydro Floss parts lately. But don't worry, we are not quite out of anything yet, just a little short on stock.
Therefore, if you are thinking of getting a part, now is the time. If you are unsure, you can always call us to verify we have it or how soon we will have it.
These directions were sent to me by a customer, who successfully replaced his hose assembly.
Please be aware: Toothy Grins Store cannot and does not warranty or guarantee these instructions. If you follow them, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.
I generally tell folks to only do this if they have good mechanical skills.
Here is what a customer sent in:
Replacement Hydro floss irrigator and hose assembly arrived very quickly.
It only took 10 - 15 minutes to replace the old one and start it up.
Remove 4 base screws.
Remove top cover and hose guide.
Remove pressure adjusting assembly.
Slide compression fitting off with small screwdriver, remove hose from unit.
Reassembly is simply the reverse.
Set the compression fitting on new hose.
Press new hose into the hose nipple and press compression fitting in place.
Replace pressure adjusting unit while aligning the gears on control knob.
This is the Hydro Floss hose assembly. I typically caution people to not try to install this unless they have some degree of mechanical ability. For example, car mechanics and engineers seem to do well with this part.
I have personally tried to replace it and I was unable to without causing further damage to the HF. So, I really want people who have confidence in their skill to install this part to be the only people who will purchase it.
We say that up front and we don't take returns on this. Therefore, if you want to take a chance at repairing your HydroFloss with this part, the risk is on you.
We also do not provide any instructions whatsoever. However, there was one man who wrote about how he repaired his in the customer reviews for this part. This part can be found here.
If you are not sure or do not want to risk a self-repair I do suggest that you consider getting a new Hydro Floss which will come with a one year warranty. You can find one here.
The cost of the Hydro Floss is such that it usually pays for itself extremely quickly. When you consider the cost of an implant or dental surgery, prevention becomes very cost effective. Perhaps you can spend thousands on implants, crowns and other repairs!
Common Reasons For The Hose To Break
It may sound strange but perhaps the most common reason for the hose to be damaged is due to someone setting a curling iron near it.
Another relatively common one is a cat's claw. They can pierce the hose leaving it with a leak.
We offer this part for those who would like to make the repair and are capable of doing so.
If you have any questions, as always you can call Toothy Grins Store at 1-888-586-6849.
