Near-Far Shifting

Yesterday, I decided to revive my efforts at natural vision improvement.

I sit at a computer for most of the day and I'm quite sure it isn't that great for my eyes.   My prescriptions have been getting a bit stronger of late.

Also, I have the sense that my eyes aren't getting enough exercise - if that makes any sense?

Near Far Shifting

Before I got out of bed yesterday, I decided to do 1,000 near -far shifts.   This is simply looking at a nearby object and then looking at one further away.

Of course, you get bored quite quickly,  which necessitates the need to change objects.

What Happened

After doing this, I did put on a pair of glasses and found that my vision briefly seemed sharper.  Although the effect did not last so long.

I also noticed later in the day there was a big increase in the number of "floaters".   If I understand correctly, these are basically dead cells floating in the vitreous humor of the eye.  Did I shake some loose?

While doing the exercises, I also noticed that my eyes started to water.

All this is very interesting.    Anyway,  that's all on this for now.

If you want a structured program, 30 minutes per day, you  can try this one.

There are also eye vitamins.

If you have any experience at this stuff, please sound off below in the comments.  I could use all the information / shared experiences I can get.

Do Your Eyes Need Nutritional Support?

I have had a very interesting experience with juicing carrots.  People scoff when I tell them about this, but it is very true.

When I used to juice carrots, my night vision would get very sharp.   It was quite amazing actually.
I would literally go out into the night and I could see colors and objects more vividly than on nights when I did not juice carrots.

This makes one wonder:  Are there other nutrients that our eyes could use and are not getting enough of, similar to beta carotene or whatever plant chemical in carrots it was that allowed me to see colors more vividly at night?

Which nutrients need to go into a good eye vitamin?   This video might shed some light on that.

What are our bodies not getting enough of that they could really use more of?

Watch this video to find out.

How Do I Stop My Eyes From Getting Red and Blurry While Using The Computer?

ANSWERS:  Please help to answer this question by entering your tips and answers below, where it says:  Enter Your Comment....

Thank you in advance for your help in answering this question.

What worked for me are computer glasses.

My wife would tell me how red my eyes were all of the time.
After using the computer glasses.  She wasn't seeing my eyes get so red any longer.

I also feel like a lot of the stress on my eyes has been greatly reduced.

There seems to be some research evidence that the light from a computer is harmful to the eyes.  You can find these studies if you look for them.

I have found that if you ask a modern day doctor if the computer can hurt your eyesight, nearly all of them say no.

But the research that is out there seems to indicate otherwise.

Go do a search and you'll find out for yourself.

I have been using these computer glasses which reduce blue light and UV light.  I believe this has been helpful to my eyes.

Check out these computer glasses now.

Sincerely,

Getting Rid Of Glasses - Because You Can See And Not Because of LASIK?

There is an interesting story about an airline pilot who had given up his dream of being a US Navy Fighter Pilot because he could not pass the requirement to have perfect 20/20 vision.

You can here is story by clicking here.

If you are a person who has been wearing glasses or contacts for a long time, it is almost a certainty that have contemplated what it would be like to wake up and see in the morning without glasses or contacts.

For some people, that sentiment has long been forgotten.   For other, it comes up once-in-a-while.  There may even be a rare few who think of it frequently.

Not needed to have glasses made or to constantly buy contact lenses would be pretty cool, wouldn't it?   I'm not going to tell you that is possible.  I'm also not going to say that it is impossible.

I've heard many people talking about this topic.   The pilot guy I mentioned earlier has a program that he claims can help people with their vision.  He also claims to have tons of documentation that vision improvement works.

You can check him out here.

You should be aware that I have an affiliated relationship with this product for improving vision.  I might get paid if you buy his program through my link.

If you could improve your vision to the point that you could pass an eye chart test without glasses or contacts, how valuable would that be?

What Did Doctor Bates Mean By 'Reducing Mental Strain' ?

When reading doctor Bate's book on vision improvement.  I remember that he talked about 'reducing mental strain' or something like that.

My question to you is, what does that mean exactly?  It was clear that he really didn't have a strong belief in exercises per say, but 'reducing mental strain'  was something he talked about.

If you understand what that means, I would love to hear from you.  Please use the box below that says "Enter comment here"...  to proceed.

Why Do Eye Glass Prescriptions Get Stronger AFTER We Finish Growing?

I thought this would be an interesting question to ask.  Typically, we are told that eye prescriptions are related to the eye elongating or developing an abnormal shape during growth.

But, if that is the case, why do people continue to change prescriptions even after growth - but before the age of 40?

I hope it is clear what I am asking here?   If you have an opinion or information share on this question, please do place it in the comment section below.

I Got My First Pair Of Glasses When I Was Just 5 Years Old

Interesting Site:  VisionImproves.com

I have some questions:

1. Why do eye glass prescriptions continue to change after age 26 if that is the end of the growth cycle?

2. Can vision really be improved?  Do you have experience with this, an opinion, information or anything else relevant to this topic / conversation?

3. If you have experienced vision improvement, how much work did it really take you to make it work?

I would love to hear your thoughts, opinions or experiences on this topic or anything related to vision improvement.

I hope that you will take the time to share here.

Is Natural Vision Improvement Possible?

What if it were possible to improve you vision through exercises?

This video that I made about Vision Improvement has received over 37,000 views on Youtube.

I think that every single person is different and what works for one does not work for everyone.

If you are able to improve your vision, you will need to keep up with the exercises.

I did not and my vision has regressed again.

As I mentioned before, IF this works for you, don't make the mistake I made.  You need to keep up with the exercises.

It's about  30 minutes a day.

If you have some experiences with natural vision improvement,  share them below in the comment section
